We created a story of water falling from the top of Brockway Mountain on its journey to the waters of Lake Superior.
I shot this video footage from July 15 - 17, 2005 along the shore of Lake Superior in Michigan, USA. Lake Superior is the largest and purest body of fresh water in the world. I followed a crystal clear stream of water atop the summit of Brockway Mountain, on its downward plunge into the icy waters of Lake Superior. The original edited video is saved in the .avi format, and the size of that file is approximately 200MB, with a resolution of 720 X 480. Using Sorenson Squeeze, I compressed the video down to its present size of 2.6MB in an FLV format, with a resolution of 240 X 180.
The advantage of using Macromedia's FLV format is that it allows you to progressively download the video from your website to the user's desktop. The video can begin quickly without your potential client or customer having to experience long wait times to see your product.
